FIONA YAU
PROJECT DESIGNER
Fiona has 15 years of experience working in space planning, and architectural and interior design for commercial and educational projects. She has a strong sense of aesthetics and strives to create bright, open spaces enabling collaboration that lets users fully enjoy and utilize their environment. A member of the firm for more than 10 years, her responsibilities have included space planning, interior design projects, presentation packages, field verifications, preparation of design intent documents, construction document support, developing workstation standards, verifying existing inventories, development of FF&E selections as well as vendor and installation coordination.
Fiona has a BFA in interior design from San Francisco State University. She has continued her education in design software applications.
GLADYS CHAN

PROJECT DESIGNER
Gladys has worked on both corporate and educational projects, contributing her space-planning and project management skills to past and current projects with KRJ. Her responsibilities include site verifications, as-built documents, space planning, FF&E services including furniture planning, detailing and specifications, project site supervision, and vendor and installation coordination.
Gladys has a BS in computer science and a minor in mathematics. She has also earned an Advanced Certificate Interior Design and an A.S. from West Valley College, Saratoga, California.

FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL IN CHARGE /SPACE PLANNER/PROJECT MANAGER
As the design principal and founder of KRJ Design Group, Andrea works directly with all clients and their organizations, including management, user groups and owners at all levels. Andrea has extensive expertise in evaluating the effective use of space, workstation environments, furnishings and equipment, interior design and architecture, project management and construction administration. She has a passion for planning and design and a deep understanding of space, work flow and functional building use. Andrea always strives to create a successful solution-based design.
With more than 25 years of experience in the Design Industry she is recognized in her field for her creative design approach and her commitment to design quality for corporate, government, educational, medical and professional office facilities. A native Californian, Andrea holds a BFA in Environmental Design from the California College of the Arts (formerly CCAC) in Oakland, and is a California Certified Interior Designer (CCIDC). She is also a LEED accredited professional and a member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA).
JEAN JEA
SENIOR ARCHITECTUAL DESIGNER / PROJECT MANAGER
Jean is a key member of KRJ Design Group. She works with clients through the design process, transforming spaces, developing and working within established timelines and budgets. As a member of the firm for more than 25 years, Jean has extensive experience in project development at every stage, from initial programming, test fit, space planning, interiors and design development to construction documentation and project management through final walk-through inspections.
Jean has an in depth knowledge of ADA codes and conducts ADA compliance evaluations and square footage analyses with BOMA standards. Jean also has in-depth understanding of the building permit process and has worked with building fire stations in cities throughout the Bay Area, including San Francisco, the Peninsula, and South and East Bay municipalities. She hold a BS (with distinction) in interior design from San Jose University. Jean maintains up to date knowledge of the current CBC technical codes through continuing education.
LUCIA FIGUEIREDO
ARCHITECT/DESIGNER
Lucia provides support in the development of full architectural packages, including coordination with contractors and consultants. She is responsible for space planning, field verification, development of schedules, specifications and bid documents, vendor and installation coordination, punch-list and follow-up.
Lucia recently joined KRJ, bringing a depth of knowledge and experience including architectural design in Germany and Portugal across several sectors: residential, heath, corporate, retail and hospitality. She has a MIA (Master in Architecture) from the University of Coimbra in Portugal. Lucia has education in the process and construction management from the University of Minho, Portugal and continuing education courses at UC Berkeley extension in interior design and interior architecture.
FRANCISCO VALDES
ARCHITECT
Francisco has experience in renovating residential, commercial, mixed use and public use facilities. A member of KRJ since 2001, he is responsible for field verifications, space planning, and preparation of construction documents, field review and coordination with general contractors, MEP and related consultants, project management and construction administration. Francisco is also responsible for technical and code-related aspects of projects. His goal is to provide a successful solution and implementation for all projects.
Francisco previously worked on projects for a global firm with offices in California, Buenos Aires, and Milan. He has a BS in architecture from the University of the Philippines. He is a licensed architect in the Philippines and a registered architect in California.
